A year and a half before each general conference of the United Methodist Church we gather to plan a legislative strategy in support of rural causes. You do not have to be a member of UMRF to participate in this consultation, in fact the purpose of the event is to network and to hear how the various concerns interrelate.
At this gathering we:
- Learn to advocate for Rural Church and Community
- Have input into UMRF Legislation for 2012 General Conference (GC)
- Network with persons across the country
- Do Team Building
- Define roles and responsibilities of UMRF GC Work Areas - Leaders and Workers
- Identify potential UMRF GC Leaders and Workers [UMRF GC Teams]
- Hold Quadrennial Meeting of UMRF
- Have fun and fellowship, including a Fund-raising Auction
The event will be held: Tuesday, November 9 - Friday, November 12, 2010
Beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday and ending at 4:00 p.m. on Friday
At the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk, 200 N. Ashley Dr., Tampa, Florida 33602
